SHE SPANISH HERITAGE DMC
This One Event...
All the cities have their own spirit and all the destinations are one of a kind.
The task of a keen DMC is to consider this while creating the event´s concept so that the result leaves the attendees no other choice but to fall in love with the destination and the program itself.
The recipe is easy: take some SHE-Spanish Heritage DMC’s ideas, pour in some creativity and a couple of brainstorming sessions, add a bunch of expertise and a pinch of your soul and just watch the magic happen!
The last incentive program operated by SHE-Spanish Heritage DMC in Barcelona was custom-cooked just this way for an important global IT company. Let´s see how easily we can seduce you with Barcelona in these 4 simple steps.
1. First Date: Welcome Event at the W Barcelona Hotel
The first impression is the most important and the most accurate one they say. That is why, the welcome event has to be impeccable.
In this case, the guests were invited to get to know their incentive destination through the cocktail dinner organized in the numerous spaces with things going on at all time.
Live graffiti painting, Spanish dance battle, live music and DJ all through the afternoon smoothly transitioning into the stunning sunset over the Mediterranean Sea, perfectly observable from the hotel´s terrace.
That is truly the way to feel Barcelona and to fall in love at a first sight…
2. Getting to know the Destination: Activities
Getting out to the city is of course the key element of any program.
Apart from offering all kinds of optional thematic tours and excursions, we designed a very fun way for the group to discover the city.
A 100% unique iPad game inspired by the Amazing Race concept was designed for the 3-hour competition, the teams the group had previously been divided into. The goal was to get back to the hotel first starting from different drop-off points within the city. To do so, the teams had to complete the pop-up challenges which appeared on the iPad screen as they explored the streets of the neighborhood.
All the tasks were designed for the participants to get familiarized with some of Barcelona´s main highlights and to discover the local Catalan traditions such as the Sardana dance.
3. Prelude: Maritime Night
Picture this: the old Shipyards of Barcelona, dim lights, faint sound of the sea and suddenly... the voice of Neptune, the God of the Seas, breaks into to invite the guests to dine at his table. Impressive, isn´t it?
Barcelona is a Mediterranean city, and all its history, culture, and cuisine are closely linked to the sea.
During this very special dinner, the guests could enjoy the sweet and seductive voice of the mermaid, the dance of the water waves, the gentle sound of the harp and the finest Mediterranean gastronomy.
Truly a sip of fresh sea breeze and a night to remember.
4. That Night: Gala at The National Palace
The National Art Museum of Catalonia is overlooking the city from top of the hill of Montjuïc and is one of the most singular and spectacular venues for a Gala Dinner.
That is exactly the right spot to say “good bye” (or “until next time”) to Barcelona with the Magic Fountain bursting in colors just for you, along with the opera singers making the atmosphere shiver with their voices when they sing “Barcelona” by Montserrat Caballe and Freddie Mercury.
The show goes on inside where everyone gets carried away by the story of Carmen, told by the Spanish guitarists and the air dancers recreating the world famous Bizet´s Opera.
