Barcelona & Madrid Edition...
Sleep & Meet as a King in Madrid
The top trend for Madrid this spring is the classy 5 star Gran Hotel Meliá Palacio de los Duques, a former palace built in the nineteenth century to be opened soon. This aristocratic yet avant-garde property boasts a prime location in the Madrid of the Austrias, in closed proximity to the Royal Palace, the Senate and the Opera Theatre.
Along with the large rooms with a truly striking design, Gran Hotel Meliá Palacio de los Duques is also prepared for the king-size meetings. The hotel offers 9 meeting rooms with natural light for events, each measuring more than 800 m2 and with space for up to 705 people.
Spanish art is an authentic presence here because the Dukes of Granada, who once owned the palace, were passionate art lovers and collectors. All this makes this hotel a perfect urban luxury resort with a refined aristocratic touch.
Taste the World in Barcelona
From art to gastronomy, from watching to tasting, from Madrid to Barcelona.
An absolute must-visit in the city right now is the new restaurant, Monvínic, which some are calling “one of the best wine bars in the world”.
Well, in our opinion, it certainly is. Monvínic is truly a temple of wine, down to the last detail of its décor, which is designed to ensure that wine culture is alive and articulated throughout.
Any event related to wine culture can be organized here: tastings, conferences, international meetings, etc., all will be enriched by a unique wine cellar that can practically take visitors around the world in one afternoon´s wine tasting. All this is accompanied by the finest Catalonian and Mediterranean cuisine that is perfectly matched to the selected wines to create an unforgettable epicurean experience.
Get Amused in Madrid
We are back to Madrid now and everything comes back to the origin. Perhaps that is why everything “old school” and “vintage” is so in vogue these days.
Following this trend, the Spanish capital has opened a new space within the Principe Pio train station. The new space is an authentic circus tent called Spiegeltent (“mirror tent” in German) which takes us back to the 19th century Berlin.
We can easily imagine a cabaret-styled event here. Inside the Spiegeltent we find small tables surrounding the stage (pure cabaret style) for 600 people. There are also 20 boxes seating 8 people each, to watch the show from above.
Escape in Barcelona… or Madrid
Finally, both in Barcelona and Madrid, a new kind of teambuilding activity called “The Escape Hunt Experience” is gaining in popularity.
The Escape Hunt Experience is a fantastic global entertainment franchise offering unique “escape the room” adventures to the public and to corporate clients all over the world.
The activity itself consists if challenge to escape a room by solving the quizzes and following the tips left by the organizers. Of course, the “key” here is the teamwork, this activity is also a perfect way to observe each individual´s behavior in a variety of situations.
The Escape Hunt Experience can be combined with any other team-building activity and a coffee break in the middle.
The script of the game can be personalized to reflect the client´s preferences, the company´s goals and objectives, etc.
This activity is currently designed for a group of 100 people in Madrid and the client seems really excited. The Escape Hunt Experience can also be made available in a hotel, using a number of meeting rooms.
Here at Spanish Heritage we had tried it ourselves and…we liked it!
