Mexico!

March 2017

Mexico is becoming the country has everyone talking, and rightfully so, because it has absolutely everything. It is a place for any type of person, from the one who seeks fascinating indigenous cultures and adventure, to those who seek an exquisite culinary experience. Here in Mexico you will find the friendliest locals you’ll ever met, and if you are not very sociable, do not worry, the tequila and mescal can change that!

Mexico offers you a chance to escape from it all, whether to one of our famous beaches or to some colonial hacienda; you won’t have to search for long to find your perfect hideout.

According to The World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), Mexico became 9th place on tourism-receiving nations by international tourist arrivals. In 2015, Mexico had 32.1 million international visitors.  That was an increase from the 2014 figure, which were 29.3 million international visitors.

Mexico reached a record revenue of 13.324 billion dollars due to international tourism, increasing 9.3% from the same period last year. 11.44 million International tourists visited Mexico, increasing 9.9% from last year.  The number of air travelers increased by 10.3% over same period.

In terms of international visits to Mexico, the United States has the most visitors, followed by Canada, the United Kingdom, Argentina, Colombia, Spain, Brazil, Germany, and France. A total of 7.86 million Americans visited the country from January to October 2016, an increase of 12% from the same period in 2015.

According to Mexico's Tourism Board (CPTM), Mexico's global air connectivity continues to grow at a record pace, with airlines around the world adding new routes, additional flights on existing routes and upgrading the latest aircraft models with larger capacities in order to meet the impressive demand for travel to Mexico.

The New York Times named Mexico City the number one most recommended place to visit, calling it a destination that radiates energy and a metropolis that has it all. Their choice in Mexico is also contributed to it being far safer than it was a couple decades ago and that the weakened value of the Mexican peso against the US dollar allows travel budgets to extend much further than before.

San Miguel de Allende took 3rd place on Travel + Leisure magazine´s 2016 “World’s Best Cities” List! It’s no surprise that San Miguel de Allende continues to steal the spotlight as one of the prettiest, friendliest, and overall greatest places in the world! Located in Mexico’s Colonial Heartland in the state of Guanajuato, San Miguel Allende is a colorful town known for its numerous shops, cathedrals, art galleries and restaurants. As you wander the cobblestone streets, don’t be surprised to stumble upon live music and live performances on the main square.

Guadalajara was named second on Travel + Leisure magazine´s “Best Places to Travel in 2016” List! This article explains Mexico’s second city is a hotbed of creativity, thanks to an ebullient jazz scene, the popular Guadalajara International Book Fair, a prestigious film festival, and a well-supported community of visual artists. To the southeast of Guadalajara is Tlaquepaque, a fashionable colonial neighborhood with a boutique-shopping district offering fine arts & crafts, galleries and restaurants lining colonial-style streets and alleyways, plazas and gardens.
