Ritz–Carlton acquires the iconic Nile Hilton
After an extensive four years of renovation period the Nile Ritz Carlton Hotel formerly the Nile Hilton opened its doors. The hotel is adjacent to the Egyptian Museum in the famous Tahrir Square, a strategic location that is also fronting the River Nile in the heart of bustling Downtown Cairo.
The Nile Hilton was the first Western-style hotel to be built in Cairo back in 1959.
A room daily cost then was 3.5 Egyptian Pounds (Nearly 44 Cents of US Dollar by today’s exchange rate), the highest rate in Cairo at the time.
It was the destination of presidents, kings, Arab leaders, film stars and pop stars. Jane Russell, Elizabeth Taylor and Frank Sinatra were among those who stayed at the hotel.
The renovated Nile Ritz-Carlton today boasts 331 rooms and 50 suites, including the élite Royal and Presidential suites. It houses ultramodern facilities including an outsize swimming pool with 17 private cabanas, the largest ballroom in down town. All this is set with the amazing interior design of Ritz Carlton melt with the flavors of the Egyptian Traditions.

For the Fifth time in a row Emeco Travel was the organizers of Cairo International Film Festival (CIFF) logistics. Artists, jury and media ground logistics were successfully managed by Emeco Travel as well as Red Carpet Theme and A / V.
The Cairo International Film Festival (CIFF) is the oldest film festival in the Middle East. It was launched in 1976 by the writer-critic Kamal el Mallakh to enhance the role of Egypt in the world of cinema. Egypt has enjoyed a strong cinematic tradition since the art of filmmaking was first developed, in 1896.
The festival has hosted a spectrum of the world’s most famous actors, actresses and directors, who have participated either via the screening of their films, in symposiums, or as members of the jury.
Luxor African Film Festival 2016
The 5th edition of the African Film Festival this year took place in Luxor from 17 to 23 of March.
Under the slogan “Egypt in the heart of Africa” the festival screened long and short films produced in African countries, made by African filmmakers, concerned by African subjects, 2015 production.
During the opening ceremony, Claudia Cardinale, Danny Glover gave their personal testimony on Omar Sharif.
